Flashback Friday!!

This week I am thinking back to when we first got our allotment back in summer 2011, we were so excited it is a stones throw away from our house,we had been on the waiting list for months.
We love spending our evenings over the girls getting filthy, and completely running wild.....

We managed to get a good lot of veg there last year.... Over the winter of 2012 we let it slip but got back on it again February this year, looking forward to our summer nights back there again

Flashback Friday

This week i am remembering the day my baby girl Elsie was born, this pregnancy didn't go perfectly smoothly but was definitely a lot more relaxed than Katie.......
My group of friends were all expecting within a few months of each other so was very exciting....
I remember as my due date got closer I just knew I was going to have to be induced like with Katie, the 2nd October came and went, was due to have my sweep on the 12th October... On the 11th things started.... I had a bad tummy but I kept passing it off not quite wanting to believe I could go into labour on my own.... I carried on with the day, made dinner, bathed and put Katie to bed, then around 9pm the pains really were quite strong so I rang my mum and told her I was off to bed as I had tummy ache, my partner came up at 9.50 I was in agony, rang the maternity unit mid way through contracting, called my parents.. They came over to sit with Katie and we raced to the hospital 3 contractions later we were there, I got seen straight away at 10.10pm I was 8cm, my waters broke soon after at melly moo was born at 10.28....

Very scary and exciting being so quick I loved it xxx

Magic moments

my first magic moment is when I started to express for Elsie, Katie was thrilled to have been able to give her some milk, she really started to bond then, before there wasn't much for Katie to do and she almost resented Elsie.

My first time....

My first flashback Friday, I am remembering the day my amazing daughter Katie was born nearly 5 years ago....

First pregnancy obviously full of nerves and excitement, I can remember being paranoid about every little thing, making sure I counted at least 10 movements....

Urghhh the labour, I went in on the Monday to be induced, 2 pessarys later and still nothing... Out came the needle to burst my waters around 3pm, contractions came on fast then, I can remember trying to get comfy, crying for my mum.

Went down to the delivery suite at 5pm with my partner and mum, I had a lovely midwife called phoebe..... Managed on gas and air and my little lady was born at 12.20am.

I loved the experience......

Reasons to be cheerful

Lovely week again, spent with great friends and great family!!

Been busy everyday, which always makes me cheerful as melly then sleeps well.
Katie's done brilliantly at school again, it's her school disco today and she's off to a friends after school so she went off with her clothes/jewellery/money in her little bag.

Been doing the preparations for Mother's Day, always makes me cheerful as I realise just how lucky I am.

Also cheerful as I skipped ww again, so I've eaten what I want.

Hope you all have lots of reasons to be cheerful this week, and have a lovely weekend

Wednesday words

I love this quote

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.
We are the change that we seek

Barack Obama

It's so very true, we are always looking for something or someone to change things when really we ourselves are the only ones that can make change happen

Housework is evil

Haha I saw this picture and made me think of so many things,
I love to keep my house clean and I pride myself of the fact the children and other half are proud to have people round..... But there are so many downfalls.....

I don't see that I take any time away from my children by keeping a tidy home, people say that children don't remember it but I know my girls are first to point out about messy homes and they like it that mummy keeps the house clean, have I done that to them? Should they even notice??

Why do I care about the house, I know the floor doesn't need to be spotless or fingerprints are allowed... I don't let my children eat and drink all over the house...

I let them make a mess then I can't wait to clean it all, get them clean and then come down and relax on my freshly pumped up sofas...

What are your views???? I know people will judge and have opinions
