The naughty spot!!

After an excellent morning with my melly shopping, she had decided enough was enough and proceeded to do everything I asked her not to do, how do you discipline?

Time out never worked for my eldest she constantly pushed it.
Is 2 old enough to understand?

I'm counting to 5 explaining what will happen, I don't like the mothers that shriek at children, I prefer the look or a quiet word in there ear......

What do you think?

Love is in the air!!

Myself and the man always say we are not doing valentines day, we (he) are not great romantics!
Every year I will always buy the "surprise" card and presents for him and the girls, not particularly because it means anything, just an excuse to decorate the house, eat chocolate and make people smile.

He always ends up leaving the house feeling guilty which is not the affect I was after.

I do love a trip to the shops on the 13th to see people doing that last minute present buying.

What do we all think of valentines day? Does it mean anything to you?

Makes you think...

Sat here after another early rise with the baby one watching daybreak, just watched an interview with James bulgers mother.
20 years since he was murdered, poor woman is still full of such hate I can't blame her.
The thought of it is unbearable, how do you ever get through something like that?

She took her eyes off him for a second we are all guilty of that aren't we?

You allow too much trust in your children without really thinking of anyone else.

Really does make you want to hold your children so tight and never let them go xxxx

Weekend and half term planning

Perfect day today spent with my perfect family! Swimming lessons for the biggest princess, visits to the grandparents, bike ride home, new cbeebies cd, football, dancing and cleaning out cupboards!!! Scrummy dinner bath film and bed!

Katie pops really emotional lately fretting about me leaving her....

Elsie has definitely hit terrible 2's it's her way or no way, lots of stamping and fights!! Trying so hard to install some discipline and not just give in to her every ask.......

I love my lists and planning activities for the holidays is definitely up there with the best

Monday- bowling ( attempting bus there with no pram)
Tuesday- park trip with picnic lunch
Wednesday - cinema with Katie, Lesley and Harley :)
Thursday - weekly weigh in at fat fighters :/ (must get mouth sewn up) valentines crafts

iPad paddy

Soo we finally got ourselves an iPad and have decided to allow the girls time on there, it's only day 2 and it has already been banned and been the cause of many arguments!

The good thing is they haven't asked for the tv, but we've just stopped one gadget for another!!

How much time should we allow? Do we allow it every day or as a treat?

Sometimes do you sit and wonder about life are the things you do good enough. Do you do enough for your children?

I could write a book on all the mistakes I've made yet I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't.

Whenever I'm feeling down I only have to look at what I've got and realise life does go on!
